Christmas Glow Edmonton @ The Enjoy Centre

Glow is the largest indoor Christmas festival in greater Edmonton.

Bring together the people you love to stroll, laugh and play under the twinkle of half a million lights. Our playgrounds and interactive features will entertain the kids for hours, while Glow’s illuminated sculptures are the perfect backdrop for selfies and holiday family photos.

Our Christmas Market showcases the best local artisans and boutique businesses, alongside delicious food options and drinks from our licensed bar.

It’s all the magic and wonder of an outdoor festival, hosted inside our cozy and spacious venue.

Light Walk @ Muttart Conservatory
Dec 12 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Experience magic as you walk through our Temperate Pyramid. There will be a variety of light installations that will light up the space and transform it into a winter wonderland. This display will be lit up every Wednesday and Thursday starting November 14 until the end of January. Wednesday nights are adult only. Thursday nights are family friendly.

Regular admission or an annual pass for entry.

Let’s Run Candy Cane Lane yet again. @ Jasper Gates Shopping Centre

it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..let’s run the lane, donate to the food bank, and then drink Starbucks dry…there’ll be draw prizes provided by Starbucks, routes for those that want to go shorter or longer, walk or run…bring a donation for the food bank, and Santa may be make an appearance..

The Grinch Walk down Candy Cane Lane @ Cafe Blackbird

The first day of Turkey Drive continues with a stroll down Candy Cane Lane! Join CBC’s Mark Connolly and Rod Kurtz at St. Andrew’s United Church for an early evening walk down one of Edmonton’s most well-known holiday traditions.

Afterwards, warm up inside with hot cocoa at Cafe Blackbird and enjoy a screening of the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

We’ll start the movie at 6 p.m. so make sure you come early to grab a spot.

This event is FREE so you can bring the whole family or lots of friends to get in the holiday spirit together!

Please use public parking or street parking around Candy Cane Lane if you are planning to drive.

Holiday Bazaar Presented by the 124 Grand Market Dec 14/15/16

On December 14, 15 and 16, 2018 the 124 Grand Market is proud to present the the highly anticipated Holiday Bazaar!

In its 6th year, the Holiday Bazaar will be bringing over 80+ ‘grand’ vendors to a brand new location just north of MacEwan University 5th Street building at 10560 107 Street. There is ample FREE parking and access from the LRT and major bus routes.

December 16 / 11:00AM – 4:00PM

This 3 day event will feature live entertainment (to be announced soon). There will be a $3 door fee. All proceeds go towards Little Beans!

The Grand Market is a weekly, seasonal market that runs Thursdays and Sundays on 124 Street and 108 Avenue from May to October. At the 124 Grand Market you’ll find fresh local producers, artisans, food trucks, performers and the award-winning Little Beans. Zoominescence 2018 @ Valley Zoo Development Society

Edmonton, the most northern city in North America with a population of over one million, is a world-renowned winter metropolis with the proud title of Festival City. This December, Zoominescence, hosted by the Valley Zoo Development Society, will stage a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within the unique setting of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The festival’s vision is to celebrate light, artistry, imagination and the strong spirit of our community in the winter. Join us for an evening of light, animals, skating, hot chocolate and fun for the whole family! Running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus the 26th & 27th!

We will be posting our event calendar, along with the Artist Installations you can expect to see at this year’s festival, very soon, but in the meantime, you can advance purchase your tickets now to attend this popular event!

Zoominescence is a fundraiser in partnership with our charity and the Edmonton Valley Zoo and therefore annual zoo passes will not work for entry to the festival. But not too worry, admission is very nominal & funds will help build our zoo!

Art Battle® can’t wait to spend the holiday season in Edmonton!

Please join us for a wonderful evening of creativity and community, a live painting tournament showcasing local artists and connecting Edmonton to towns and cities around the world! Come watch as artists transform blank canvases into beautiful pieces of art in just 20 minutes, and then help vote to determine the winner of the event! All artwork will also be available for silent auction!

Art Battle is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. Art Battle happens in 50 cities worldwide, check for local listings!
