Concertworks is proud to present…
Mac Sabbath is visually inspired by characters from McDonaldland, the fantasy world which fast food restaurant McDonald’s uses in its marketing campaigns geared towards children.
Performing in elaborate costuming, the band’s line-up consists of vocalist Ronald Osbourne, guitarist Slayer MacCheeze, bassist Grimalice and drummer The Catburglar (alternately known as “Peter Criss Cut Fries”). Musically, Mac Sabbath performs reasonably faithful covers of Black Sabbath’s songs with only the lyrics humorously re-written and re-arranged. For example, the band’s repertoire includes such parodies as “Pair-a-Buns” (“Paranoid”), “Frying Pan” (“Iron Man”), “Sweet Beef” (“Sweet Leaf”), “Never Say Diet” (“Never Say Die”) and “Zipping Up the Uniform” (“Symptom of the Universe”).
Although all of the band’s lyrics focus on the umbrella topic of fast food, Mac Sabbath takes a decidedly satirical and condemnatory perspective on the corporate food industry, addressing areas such as fast food’s negative health effects and lack of nutritional value as well as genetically modified food, consumerism and low wage “McJobs”.
Manager Mike Odd stated in an interview “As much as Mac Sabbath is a part of the fast food culture, the idea here is to warn you of the evils of fast food, not to endorse it”.
Based out of Los Angeles, CA but born from the bowels of Outer Space,
Mac Sabbath is here, and it is time for a dinner rock revolution.

The Buckingham Presents…
Since their unholy birth in 2001, Gutter Demons have been tearing up the scene across Canada, US, and Europe with their intense stage shows, raucous rock‘n’roll music, red-blooded rockabilly roots, punk potency, and downright dirty musicianship. Quickly becoming Canada’s most recognized disciples of Macabre, they have quickly gained a strong following by playing their unique brand of mutant Psychobilly. This hard working DIY three piece brought their unique approach to Psychobilly music. Often seen in some circles as uni-dimensional, the Demons psycho sound is refreshing and deeper than most of their contemporary peers. Playing the horror cards in a more subtle way, GD always took great pride in releasing rich & well written concept albums avoiding them to fall into the generic “zombie, hotrod, pin-up” category. The real madness happens on stage. GD is a fast & furious mean machine playing encores after encores even once clubs lights are on, no matter if there is a crowd of 10 or a 1000 people.
