4th ANNUAL Night of Fear Festival has grown. We run October 20&22nd at the Kinsmen Club in St Albert. Festival runs Friday and Saturday night from 6pm-12am – with a kids Hallowe’en bash on Saturday from 4-6pm. Food Vendors, Kinsmen cash bar (18+), Product Vendors, Entertainers, Tarot Card Reader, Bone Thrower, Virtual Reality Gaming, Prize Costume Contests, and of course our tent of terror featuring the terrifying 700 square foot haunted house, and 650 square foot Haunted Graveyard.
For the past year, Global Shapers Edmonton has undertaken a charity project called Leftovers. Leftovers YEG is an organization that takes excess food from vendors at the end of the day and transports it via volunteer drivers to our partnered service agencies. These efforts have helped to reduce food insecurity and feed hungry people right in our community.
Leftovers For Dinner is being held in conjunction with Ernest’s at NAIT. Student chefs will be cooking using only leftover food and event attendees will have a chance to tour the kitchens and watch the entire process. We will have a panel of judges that will provide feedback and choose a winner. The event will also include improv comedy, interactive information stations, and food provided from Ernest’s at NAIT.

Edmonton’s Food Bank is not a lone champion in the fight to end hunger in Edmonton, we are joined by over 250 partner agencies, churches, and food depots. Among them are 47 schools that collect food resources from our warehouse to provide students with much-needed meals and snacks. Edmonton’s Food Bank partners with schools to help ensure all Edmonton’s children have the food they need to reach their dreams.
As the old saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and by helping Edmonton’s Food Bank you are a vital part of that village.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to sharing time with you on October 26th.
