The inaugural Winterruption YEG festival is thrilled to announce its initial line-up of artists for the January 23-26 festival in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!

Headliners include a 25th anniversary performance of the classic 1995 album “Liquid Swords” by GZA, Chicago’s gender-non-conforming garage rocker Ezra Furman, Los Angeles two-piece No Age, Thunder Bay’s electro-pop artist Coleman Hell, Sackville New Brunswick’s Partner, Nashville’s Bully, Winnipeg’s Begonia, a kick-off event with Weaves, Eamon McGrath and Girlfriend Material (members of Hollerado and Tokyo Police Club) as well as Brooklyn’s art rock stars BODEGA. In addition to music, Winterruption will also feature art and comedy events, including LA’s King of nerd-comedy, author, actor and stand-up Brian Posehn. Other artists and events announced include Alberta Music’s 35th Anniversary show, Jennifer Castle, DBOY, Hannah Epperson, Nuela Charles, Blessed, Wares, Too Soon Monsoon, Iron Tusk – Band, 36?, The Hearts, Kathleen McGee, tzadeka, Mourainè, Rosina Cove, Electric Audrey 2, Josh Sahunta, Electricity for Everybody! and SUPER DUTY TOUGH WORK.

The winter festival takes place in multiple downtown Edmonton venues including The Starlite Room, Temple, Yellowhead Brewery, Freemasons Hall, Downtown Edmonton Community League, The Cask and Barrel, Rocky Mountain Icehouse, Station On Jasper and outdoor event in Abbey Glen Park on 102st and Jasper Avenue.
