Earth Hug Day Festival

A one day festival to celebrate Earth’s General Store’s birthday and to raise awareness about forest and marine conservation.

Sunday 1st September.
Free open air acoustic acts in the car park of Earth’s General Store noon – 4 PM with info sessions on conservation and how to get involved. This event is rain or shine!

Emmet Michael is a singer-songwriter from Edmonton Alberta. His music ranges from acoustic folk to alternative rock. “Everyone who’s watched Emmet’s gripping live performances will know how hard he’s worked and how talented he is.”
Emmet’s inspiration draws from his experiences of adversity. He sings and writes about evocative topics such as recovery and addiction, love and loss, and relationships. Music has always been a platform for him to share his story in an authentic and bare boned way. Emmet plays shows at local bars and cafes, as well as festivals and non profit events.

Robin Cisek is a Metis, pop-alternative musician from Alberta, Canada. Robin’s very recent triumphs include her first music releases on all major streaming platforms. With the guidance and support of Grammy award winning Producers in NYC and LA, Robin has captured her unique voice and style and produced something powerful and captivating. These accomplishments came after many years of health problems. Robin received a diagnosis of a genetic condition called Thoracic Outlet Syndrome which led to a life-changing surgery.
Most recently, Robin has had the honor of having her single, “Waiting on You” claim the #1 spot on an international music chart! Her single was on the Indigenous Music Countdown for 24 consecutive weeks. She will be releasing new music very soon!

Our Good Wolf was formed in 2012 and grew from the wish to write and create original music that reflected their eclectic interests.
The 5 piece indie-alternative band draw inspiration from all over the place, from modern alternative rock, to classic folk and country, to their favourite funk and jazz records, to Romantic poetry. A constant theme in the band has been collective thought, and it is incorporation of many themes that has often pushed them into new and exciting terrain.
