Come learn what exists within the wilderness. There are so many plants and mushrooms we can eat and use as medicines. We can learn a lot by intersecting bushcraft with survival skills and games! We will explore a variety of methods to connect with the woods, rather than being a visitor. Through animal tracks and sign we can piece together stories of the woods. This land is home to porcupines, deer, coyotes, foxes, herons, birch, spruce, lichen, and so many other species of plants and animals.
This mini adventure will be 5 hours long from 11am-4pm on land in Onoway, AB. We can coordinate carpooling if someone wants to offer a ride or needs a ride. Please dress for the weather, with winter boots, many warm layers, good mittens, scarf, winter hat and bring water, extra socks and snacks .We will take a break for lunch in a kitchen where you can cook food and warm up.
