Print It Yourself: Patterns and Patches

Embellish and personalize your beloved clothing at our drop-in Print It Yourself event at SNAP Printshop. Try block printing and screenprinting with our pre-made blocks and stencils or take some time to create your very own designs. The textile printmaking possibilities are endless: upcycle a well-worn garment or thrift find, bedazzle a tote bag with ink, print on scrap fabric for a sewing project, or print trendy patches for the holes in your well-worn favourites. Save items from the landfill while looking great, having fun, and learning creative skills with us!

Recommended items:
Clothing (shirts, jackets, pants)
Accessories (tote bags, pouches, produce bags)
Fabric (scraps or larger pieces)
Home textiles (pillow covers, tea towels)

Recommended material:
Cotton, cotton blend, wool, and jersey fabrics (i.e. canvas, denim, felt, pre-washed cotton-polyester blend T-shirts)

(*Guests under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult. We recommend a 1:1 child to guardian ratio for children under the age of 8 in our Printshop)

What to expect:
Printmaking activities can vary in difficulty and time commitment and we have options for everyone. Plan to spend approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the amount of printing you do, the wait times at each activity, and whether you use pre-made blocks and stencils or create your own designs.
