Tobacco Ties: Indigenous Knowledge Sharing at the Nook

Tobacco Ties: Indigenous Knowledge Sharing at the Nook

November 30, 2019 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
The Nook Cafe

Our Tobacco Tie Making events are pay-what-you-can informal drop-in spaces in which community members can learn how to make tobacco ties and present that cultural protocol when seeking guidance or collaboration with an Indigenous elder or knowledge keeper.

Held at The Nook Cafe on the last Saturday of each month, these 2-hour sessions are open to all members of the public who can come and go as and when needed any time between 1 and 3pm.

We’ll supply all required materials so there’s no need to bring anything other than a curious and open heart.

No matter which event you come along to, you will leave with the ability to respectfully and meaningfully engage with Indigenous elders and knowledge keepers.
