“Drugs” is a word that evokes many different things to different people: is it the chemical which helps alleviate your pain, or the one that toys with your senses? Or, is it that which can either kill or save you? A powerful class of substances, their interactions with the human body are an endless source of concern, fascination and inspiration for medical advances.

At DARK MATTERS ‘The Science of Drugs’ we’ll pose a variety of the questions, including: “what has happened in the year since the legalization of cannabis?” “How is sugar similar to cocaine?” and; “What does it mean to have an overdose?”
